Announced over on the official Life is Strange Twitter account, Issue #2 of the Life is Strange comic book will be arriving physically and digitally on Jan 2, 2019.

Life is Strange 2 released in September of this year and tells the larger-than-life story of two new protagonists, the Diaz brothers. However, all is not lost for fans of Max and Chloe.

At first, it seemed out of place for the new Super Smash Bros. Ultimate commercial —one with stylish, new animation— to not feature any background music whatsoever. Looking back on it, though, it was a decision of pure genius.

What better way to have people talking about your game than having it be the basis for a great, wholesome, family-friendly meme. People have been taking the commercial and adding over their own background music to spruce it up a bit.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is an insane game; it’s just crazy how much content Sakurai and his team have managed to jam into one tiny Switch cartridge.

The abundance of stages, massive amounts of music from across the industry, and full Adventure mode are honestly just the icing on the cake when you consider just how many playable characters are going to be in the game.

The ultimate crossover fighting game, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, is less than a month away, and Nintendo has hit the ground running in terms of advertising leading up to the game’s release.

The new “More Fighters, More Battles, More Fun” commercial has dropped, and it’s a doozy.

Normally when a major Overwatch patch is released, it requires a decent amount of free space to download. However, Blizzard has announced today that the next major patch for Overwatch will require a complete reinstall of the entire game.

According to Blizzard, the incoming patch will alter the fundamentals of the game client so drastically that they cannot simply patch over the existing one.

For some reason, people began reporting that a new update for P.T. was released a few days ago (on Oct. 31, appropriately) that prevented the game from being played. The rumor made the rounds on social media to the point where it was believed that this was actually happening to some people.

I personally turned on my PS4 to check if this was the case, but I could still start the game up perfectly fine.

Watching horror films and reading horror novels is one way to give yourself a good spook, but nothing does the job better than a great horror game. Horror games are something that have been around since the birth of the industry, and they don’t seem to be slowing down any time soon.

Horror games are more than just an avenue to a cheap scare or two; there are games that heavily focus on surviving, hilariously fun horror-themed arcade games, haunting RPGs, and deep character studies.

When it comes to the big screen, the beloved bounty hunter Boba Fett can’t catch a break. Not only does his screen time in the main Star Wars films fall below the 10-minute mark, but it looks like he won’t be getting his turn in the spotlight in the long-rumored standalone Boba Fett film either.

Critics Choice Association journalist Erick Weber had the opportunity to interview Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy and asked the all-important question about the status of a standalone Boba Fett film. Weber said via Twitter that she confirmed the movie as “100% dead.”

It’ll soon be time to get physical down at your local Best Buy, as stores throughout the United States will be stocking limited quantities of games published by Limited Run Games.

If you’re not familiar with the company, Limited Run Games is a company that, as the name implies, produces physical versions of digital-only games in very low quantities.

If Red Dead Redemption 2’s file size is anything to go by, we already know that Rockstar North’s latest effort is going to be pretty big. But, just how big? Well, according to EDGE’s preview of the game in their latest issue, really, really big.

During a hands-on preview of Red Dead Redemption 2, EDGE wanted to see just how big the game’s open-world 1899 America is. This was tested by opening the map screen, zooming out as far as possible, and moving eastward. It wasn’t until EDGE scrolled two full screens to the east that they reached the end. Moving southward, it took “twice as far” to reach the end of the map.

It wasn’t long ago when the only things resembling Konami-released video games were of the Yu-Gi-Oh variety, but eventually these dark times did end. There was Super Bomberman R, the recently announced Castlevania Requiem collection, and, of course, Metal Gear Survive.

In the latest Metal Gear Survive event, Konami has taken the opportunity to remind us just how rich their video game history is. Specifically, this new event will tie in the Silent Hill, Contra and Castlevania franchises as well as some of the company’s old shoot ’em up games.

Video game file sizes are just getting larger and larger —there’s no doubt about that. Downloading a game like Red Dead Redemption 2 with its whopping 105 GB file size could take up a giant chunk of your system’s storage.

Luckily, Battlefield V’s file size doesn’t compare to the behemoth that is Red Dead Redemption 2, and hopefully you won’t have to delete too much off of your hard drive in order to fit it on.

Video Game Collector’s Editions That Weren’t Worth the Money

Final Fantasy XV Ultimate Collector’s Edition

Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV was an event jam-packed with cool announcements. There was the film, anime series, release date (which ended up not being met), and a super-duper expensive Ultimate Collector’s Edition for Final Fantasy XV.

The Final Fantasy XV Ultimate Collector’s Edition represents just how insanely expensive these things can get, setting fans back a whopping $270. That’s a lot of cash to drop on one game.

Forza Horizon 4 is one of the best-looking racing games to date. It’s a game that goes into incredible detail on some of the little things that you may not even notice, such as the streetlight numbers being based on real-world streetlight numbers.

The game looks particularly stunning when played on an Xbox One X at a native 4K resolution.

Fortnite is quite the global phenomenon, both in-game and out. There’s a chance that it may not have elevated to its current state of popularity were it not for the creative fans that have spread the game across Youtube, streaming platforms, and other social media websites.

Epic Games have decided that a new campaign will be running from next week until December 31 to give back to these talented content creators: the Support-A-Creator campaign.

There really aren’t too many retro games hitting modern systems this month, but with this particular selection, I don’t think that’s a problem at all. There are several lengthy RPGs being rereleased this month that will easily keep you occupied until November and beyond.

Switch owners have quite a lot to look forward to in October. In fact, the only retro game not releasing on the Switch is instead coming to the 3DS.
