Most come naturally as you adventure through zombie-infested streets and take out lots of zombies.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League provides a twist to usual comic book stories by making everyone’s favorite heroes the villains. While usually, the Suicide Squad is sent on smaller missions, this time, they must free Metropolis from a Justice League turned bad. This means fighting the Man of Steel and Batman directly.

Remnant 2 on PS5

I was a massive fan of Remnant: From the Ashes because too many third-person shooters attempt to borrow Soulsborne ideas with poor execution. The first Remnant offered something unique in a campaign full of planets you could reroll at any time, wiping the slate clean and starting over. Remnant 2 carries the ideas of the first game forward in meaningful evolutions.

Remnant 2 starts with your created character walking through a post-apocalyptic Earth with your best friend Cass. You are on the search for Ward 13 but aren’t sure the concept isn’t just an urban legend. After a trek too far into Root territory, you are both set upon and overwhelmed by enemies.

As we head toward the end of July, it is time to consider what next month offers. That’s right; we’re talking about the PlayStation Plus Essential games! Shadow Warrior 3

This third adventure of Lo Wang takes players on yet another adventure where he has to save the world with crude jokes, a katana, and tons of bullets. While it ditches the looter shooter aspects from Shadow Warrior 2, there is still no lack of weaponry to try out in defeating the hordes of enemies in style. If you’re worried about neglecting your backlog, sources say the game’s story only takes five to seven hours to beat.

While Fortnite has made plenty of merchandise deals, this new one is more specific to music fans. Epic Games is teaming up with Iam8bit to produce a Best of the Lobby vinyl. It will feature 18 Fortnite lobby tracks that players have been rocking out to while waiting for matchmaking to start. The Quarry

This spiritual successor to Until Dawn takes players to a remote summer camp deep in the woods of Hackett’s Quarry. The start of the game teases a monster on the campgrounds and then fast forwards to the last day of camp. Due to one counselor’s wish for his summer fling to continue, their transport is sabotaged. This strands the counselors overnight at the camp without knowing what awaits them when the sun goes down.

Aliens: Dark Descent for PS5

Aliens is one of those properties that has been adapted into all sorts of games. There’s been survival horror, a third-person shooter like Left 4 Dead, and an underwhelming first-person shooter. Tindalos Interactive sought to try something new by crafting a squad-based real-time strategy game that works incredibly well in the universe.

The story starts with a small act of sabotage aboard Pioneer Station. Someone posing as an engineer knocks out a worker at a terminal and opens several containers housing Xenomorphs and their eggs. Deputy Administrator Maeko Hayes is the first to notice something is amiss. She arrives at the hangar as a vessel tries to leave the nearby planet Lethe’s orbit, presumably carrying dangerous Xemomorphs onboard.

At first glance, it seems that the official Pokemon Center Twitter account might be facing a little trouble from a certain crime syndicate. Up to their usual nefarious tricks, this takeover is bringing a Team Rocket clothing line to the Pokemon merchandise shop. The whole line is referred to as the Team Rocket HQ Collection. If you want to casually rep one of anime and gaming’s most notorious gangs, here’s your opportunity.

To the credit of this merchandise, there’s no better way to show your true affiliations while playing Pokemon GO in public.

Last December, the United States FTC (Federal Trade Commission) sued Microsoft over the Activision Blizzard acquisition. The lawsuit was to get the acquisition before an internal administrative law judge, but it has gone a step further. The lawsuit isn’t enough to outright halt the deal, it seems. A July 18 deadline is fast approaching, which would somewhat force the merger due to related contracts. To impede this, sources say the FTC plans to file an injunction that would bring it to a dead stop.

According to sources close to CNBC, this injunction hasn’t been filed yet but is coming in the near future. At the time of the lawsuit announcement, the FTC’s official reasoning was “the $69 billion deal, Microsoft’s largest ever and the largest ever in the video gaming industry, would enable Microsoft to suppress competitors to its Xbox gaming consoles and its rapidly growing subscription content and cloud-gaming business.”

Ubisoft shared a gameplay walkthrough of its upcoming open-world Star Wars game, Star Wars: Outlaws, during its ‘Forward’ livestream today.

Kay Vess is one of the franchise’s trademark scoundrels looking for her freedom in Star Wars Outlaws. Her journey will take her across the galaxy to planets previously unseen in the franchise. Accompanied by only her companion Nix, she must do what she needs to survive. The game takes place between Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.

While most players will likely enjoy Starfield purely through Game Pass, there will be a treat for those willing to buy the game’s special edition. It was revealed that players who buy the special Constellation Edition will get a recreation of the character’s Chronomark watch when the game releases on Sept. 6

In the game, the watch is how players get information regarding climate, temperature, and oxygen levels. On your actual wrist, you can link it to your phone and use it as a smartwatch that will track certain things about you. Based on the picture, the watch will track things like acceleration, gravity, pressure, temperature, and magnetic field. As crazy as this sounds, it’s pretty much like owning the Starfield version of the Pip-Boy.

Every Bethesda RPG has been massive, but they all take place within a single world. Starfield is breaking that entirely. This ambitious space game will let players visit “over a thousand worlds.” Between red planets, stormy planets, and snowy planets, each world offers something unique with flora and fauna. If you land on a planet with a moon in the distance, you can visit that moon if you choose. Everything you see is somewhere you can explore (probably not including the sun, though).

Each system’s star also plays a huge part in how they are experienced. Bethesda’s next-generation lighting model uses “real-time global illumination to light the world based on the type of star and the make up of the planet’s atmosphere.” Not every star is the same, so lighting from planet to planet will certainly vary.

Forza Motorsport has been one of the most consistent racing franchises since the Xbox 360. Not only does it give you the best graphics, but it gives plenty of variety, especially with the Forza Horizon series. While it’s less open-world, the Forza Motorsport line brings high-octane racing and lets players feel what it’s like to drive some powerful machines. The adrenaline still exists, even though they have ditched the number for this iteration. You can put the pedal fully down on Oct. 10 for Xbox Series X|S, PC, and it’s coming to Game Pass.

The trailer gives a cockpit view of a modern Corvette, and it’s been stunningly recreated to maximize immersion. If you want some of the strongest racetrack experience in gaming, it looks like Forza Motorsport will be exactly where to find it.

Starbreeze Studios asks you to team up in a group of four to take on even the most difficult bank jobs. While these games have never been free of cop interference, it’s only getting more intense. Payday 3 looks to take the risk/reward factor into the next step. It will come to Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Game Pass on Sept. 21.

Of course, jobs are never expected to go smoothly, so new tools and equipment will be available for thieves. The trailer reveals at least one small deployable turret that might help keep the opposition off your back. Plus, plenty of weaponry to fight back against riot shield-wielding SWAT teams.

Keeping with Devolver Digital’s aim to make their livestreams surreal industry commentary, they brought out Volv-E. This robotic version of their fictional Volvy mascot was used to lampoon AI-generated projects. When prompted to create an open-world shooter with wizards, Wizard With a Gun was created.

While it is much more action-focused, the game’s style seems similar to Don’t Starve and Cult of the Lamb. Though, based on all the gameplay, monsters need to be much more worried about you. There’s a heavy emphasis on base building, whereas different machines let you create different guns and augment bullets. Each gun has a variety of bullets that can be created, and all offer various benefits.

We’re only 14 or so hours away from the release of Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3, but Summer Game Fest has brought an early look. Usually, the new trailers release when the servers go offline to start the update, but that’s not the case here. The cinematic trailer has given a decent look at new features coming to the Chapter 4 Season 3 island.

The first important thing to know is that the island’s center has collapsed entirely. The earthquakes felt this season led to this, and they weren’t just for show. The collapse has also revealed a temple that a squad of loopers explores. As it turns out, the temple has a connection to Cybertron, and Optimus Prime is inside. He gives the team a smaller Optimus Prime to fight alongside them. This is definitely the version of Optimus that players will get through the battle pass.

If you’re a horror fan, there’s no way to avoid the seminal work of John Carpenter. He’s created some of the most iconic horror films, like the first three Halloween films and The Thing. Now, he is bringing his considerable talents to a new zombie apocalypse survival game called John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando.

Based on what is shown in the trailer, you won’t have to survive the apocalypse on foot. Instead, you will have a nicely outfitted humvee to get around. That gunner hatch on the top of the vehicle will be extremely useful.

Though the Sands of Time remake has been somewhat troubled, Ubisoft isn’t giving up on the franchise. Instead, the Summer Game Fest 2023 stream began with an action-filled trailer for Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. While it might not be the announcement that we had been expecting, it’s definitely Ubisoft reminding fans of their greatest hit.

The gameplay trailer is certainly nostalgic, as it’s a return to one of the most iconic gaming figures with his pretty awesome dual swords. The trailer’s video description promises a blend of “parkour, combat, and puzzle-solving.” It’s also interesting that Ubisoft seems to be adding the “a Ubisoft Original” tag to their upcoming games.

Between mines, caves, and bunkers, the various Fortnite islands have never been shy about letting players journey under the surface of the map. However, most combat in the build modes takes players higher off the ground, not into it. The new teaser for Chapter 4 Season 3 suggests the new season will focus more on what’s under your feet.

Season three is dubbed Fortnite WILDS, and is set to ditch the metropolitan and cherry blossom biome for an expansive jungle. It doesn’t appear this is a natural change, though, and a teaser trailer shared by the official Fortnite Twitter account today suggests that a pretty big earthquake is coming. The last month of season two has featured plenty of earthquakes across the map, which apparently lead to this big one.
