The first Darkness element, Stasis, was introduced to Destiny 2 almost three years ago, and since then, Stasis has undergone many changes since its debut. With buffs, nerfs, and changes to the weapons themselves, Stasis holds much value in endgame content. So today, we’re going over the Top 10 Stasis Weapons in Destiny 2 as of the Lightfall DLC and Season of the Deep. Also, as a quick PSA: This list is in no particular order.

Destiny 2’s Bugs Know No End As Bungie Disables Four Mods At Once

For the past year, Destiny 2 has been plagued by constant bugs and glitches. Bungie has already put out a statement that they are working towards improving their servers so these bugs would fade away. However, with the release of the 2023 Solstice of Heroes event, yet another game-breaking bug has appeared. Usually, Bungie would turn off one or two items causing the problem. This time around, Bungie has disabled four Armor mods until further notice.

Due to an issue, we have temporarily disabled the Bolstering Detonation, Focusing Strike, Impact Induction, and Momentum Transfer mods.

After three years, Destiny 2 has received a new element in the form of Strand. Strand is the second darkness element to be added to the game, and like Stasis, there’s only a handful of weapons for players to use. However, with the arrival of Season of the Deep, many new Strand weapons were added to the game. So today, we’re going over the top 10 best Strand weapons in Destiny 2 during Season of the Deep.

Destiny 2’s Root of Nightmares Raid Has Largest Contest Mode Completion Rate in History

Destiny 2’s newest raid, Root of Nightmares, has just come off of its contest mode, and after the totals have been tallied, the completion rate is mind-boggling. Over 45,000 teams have cleared the raid while the contest modifier was active during the 48 hours it was available, the most in franchise history for a day one/day two raid ever.

Of course, there is an abundance of factors that could accumulate the total of completions. For starters, aside from Vow of the Disciple (Vow), the raid that launched last year during The Witch Queen DLC, the Root of Nightmares raid gave Guardians 48 hours to complete it while the contest modifier was active, unlike past raids where players only had 24 hours to work with.

Destiny 2’s Lightfall DLC is underway, and Guardians are embracing a new Darkness subclass, Strand. However, until now, Strand was heavily locked off for Guardians to truly enjoy, as most of the Fragments associated with the subclass were time-gated. Bungie has decided to go and ahead and remove this issue by unlocking all of the Fragments for players to purchase and enjoy.

All Strand Fragments are now available. Players need to complete the Lightfall campaign and visit the pouka pond on Neptune to access these new Fragments.

With that in mind, it’s time to reflect on what has transpired in the last year, specifically regarding the Seasons that came with the Witch Queen DLC, Season of the Risen, Season of the Haunted, Season of Plunder, and Season of the Seraph. Each Season has its ups and downs, but today, we want to rank them from best to worst in terms of how good each Season was overall. So today, let’s rank each Destiny 2 Witch Queen Season from best to worst.

4. Season of Plunder

Let’s start this list by stating that none of the Seasons released in the last year have been bad, as there were worse ones for sure, but Season of Plunder is kicking this list off as the worst among all of the Seasons this past year. If you’ve kept up to date with Bungie’s court issues over the past few months, then you probably know that Bungie has been in an ongoing lawsuit against a Destiny 2 cheat site known as AimJunkies. In this ongoing case, Bungie has sued the website due to them selling an abundance of cheats to players over the last couple of years.

As of Feb. 21, 2023, it finally seems as though the lawsuit is coming to an end, with Bungie, unsurprisingly, coming out on top.

Bungie Vaulted Destiny 2 Exotic Missions… Just To Add Them Back In Season 22

In the great sunset of the Beyond Light DLC, Bungie removed most of Destiny 2’s Exotic missions and has continued to do so with each DLC thus far. Even now, with the release upcoming Lightfall DLC, the most recent Exotic mission, Operation: Seraph’s Shield, is being removed from the game.

However, in the new “State of the Game” post they released, Bungie has confirmed Exotic missions will return in a “rotator” format like Raids and Dungeons currently are.

Destiny 2’s newest Darkness subclass, Strand, has finally been revealed in full by Bungie, and Titan mains are not pleased with the details.

Players have gone to Reddit in revolt, as in an interview with some Bungie Devs by Games Radar, they commented stating that Strand Titan is fulfilling the “Titan Core Fantasy”, as it is primarily a Melee-based subclass, which Titans already have an abundance of.

Destiny 2 Teases the Possibility of a Third Darkness Subclass

Destiny 2’s Lightfall DLC is rapidly closing in, and so is the arrival of the second Darkness subclass, Strand. Strand looks to be just as powerful, if not more, and just as much fun as Stasis was when Beyond Light was released a couple of years back.

However, in a recent interview with Press Start, Bungie teases the possibility we could be seeing a sixth subclass join the fray in the future. In this conversation, Bungie Design Lead Kevin Yanes and Features Lead Eric Smith were both asked numerous questions regarding the upcoming Lightfall DLC.
