Warzone Season 4’s Vondel exclusion zone brought with it a new set of keys that players can loot, unlock and use to gain access to new regions, crates and backpacks. They were overhauled in the mid-season Reloaded update though, so here’s how to get and where to use the Diver’s Crate Key in DMZ.

How To Get Diver’s Crate Key in DMZ

Despite the changes to Vondel’s key chain, the Diver’s Crate Key is still unlocked by opening the Bridge Stash Crate.

This requires the Bridge Stash Key, which can be earned by opening the Smuggler’s Drop crate. As previously mentioned, they’re part of a wider chain that necessitates players having the earlier key to unlock the next.

The Bridge Stash Crate is easy enough to locate and access, provided you have the key. It’s in map grid E5, to the southeast of Graveyard and to the northwest of Stadium.

Head over to the bridge and then drop down into the canal. Underneath the bridge there’s a crate on the canal’s bottom. You do need to dive in order to open the crate, but it should be easy enough to locate if you’re in the right area.

As you can see in the image above, it rewards players with a Gold Skull as well as the Diver’s Crate Key. The Skull being guaranteed makes the Bridge Stash a very valuable location and cache; it’s just one of two crates we know reward players with them.

Before we move onto using the key we’ve just acquired, it’s worth noting that it can also be found in loot crates, bags and caches all across Vondel. The problem with this method is that it relies on RNG and the chances are it’ll take you a lot of crates before you stumble across any key, much less the specific one you want.

Where To Use

The key is used, unsurprisingly, to open an underwater crate in map grid G5. Presumably it belonged to a diver at some point, but it’s now in an abandoned underwater grave southwest of Central Station and north of Museum.

The image below shows its precise location within Vondel and then more closely so you can pinpoint it exactly and head there when you’re ready.

Head underwater and you’ll see a sunken houseboat. Inside, there’s a crate up against the back wall which is the Diver’s Crate. Use the Diver’s Crate Key to get inside.

It may take you a couple of dives, with the air required meaning your character may run of breath. If you have a rebreather in your Contraband Stash, it’s probably worth taking. We did manage it without though.

Inside the Diver’s Crate, you’ll find a weapon with five attachments and the Equipment Crate Key. It’s just the next in the long chain the keys form, so pocket it and exfil (or carry on with your objectives if you’re brave enough to do so with two valuable keys in your backpack).

That’s everything to know about getting and using the Diver’s Crate Key in Warzone DMZ. For everything else CoD’s popular extraction mode, including the best DMZ loadouts.
