When John Wick was released back in 2014, few could have foreseen its level of success, receiving three sequels (so far), a TV series, and a spinoff led by Ana De Armas. The Keanu Reeves vehicle showed a new way to shoot action, now named gun-fu, while creating a universe and world-building that keeps getting better and better.

John Wick just wanted to be left alone with his grief and his new puppy, when the Russians stole his car and killed his dog. Since then, revenge has been the name of the game, showing with every movie more and more exciting and surprising fights and creative ways to kill enemies.

It’s already been nine years since Ted met the mother in the How I Met Your Mother finale. Even after all this time, we still miss Ted, Robin, Marshall, Lily, and, especially, Barney. The gang always had the same booth at McClaren’s, had slap bets, used to eat “sandwiches”, and made fun of Robin’s career as Robin Sparkles, and we loved them for each of those things.

As any How I Met Your Mother fan will attest, Barney was the breakout character, with his catchphrases, unique way of seeing the world, and love for his friends. His arc in the show might’ve been the best of all as he started as a womanizer without a conscience, and during the run of the show, became a (gasp!) monogamist, a husband, and a father, changing some of his most deplorable qualities and becoming a more lovable person in the end.

Elvis and Black Adam have been exchanging the lead in HBO’s Streaming Charts for months. Not anymore, as this Christopher Nolan film has just won the ferocious battle for the top spot. Per Flix Patrol, Dunkirk is now at the top.

It looks like an epic film with multiple lead characters and stories during World War II is what the world is craving. Dunkirk is also in the most-watched Top 3 in countries such as the United States, Belgium, and Panama, and it’s number 1 in the United Kingdom.

After four years, many of us still miss The Big Bang Theory, with its jokes, friendships, and romantic relationships. We love all the characters, from Sheldon to Leonard, Howard to Bernadette, Raj to Amy, and especially Penny. The peppy blonde might’ve started as a beautiful woman who seemed to be lacking in depth, but during the show’s 12 seasons, she became the heart and soul of The Big Bang Theory. So much so, that some fans still feel like the show did Penny dirty with its finale, as it changed some things she always believed in to get a typical TV series happy ending.

Penny is socially smart, enjoys hanging out with people, is the love of Leonard’s life, has a brother-sister relationship with Sheldon, is best friends with Bernadette and Amy, is a master at strategy games like chess, is always there for her friends, shares a love for yoga and rom-coms with Raj, and might be a better actress than her resume shows. 

Some days all we want to watch after a long day is a pessimistic post-apocalyptic sci-fi action-thriller where everything goes wrong for the characters on-screen At least, that’s what it looks like it if Netflix Top-10 list is anything to go by. The Swedish film Black Crab is one of the publisher’s most-watched non-English language movies, dominating the Top 10 for the past eight weeks. 

The sci-fi action thriller was released a year ago on the platform, but it’s in the last month that it has gained steam and viewers. Right now, the film is in Netflix’s top 10 most-watched movies in countries like the United Kingdom, Malaysia, and Australia. It also holds the first spot in Japan.

It’s been four years since The Big Bang Theory ended, and we said goodbye to Sheldon, Penny, Leonard, Howard, Bernadette, Raj, and Amy. Although the story continues for Sheldon in the past through The Young Sheldon, we miss this group of geeks and their much more street-smart women. Especially Sheldon.

Sheldon is smart –sometimes too smart for his own good–, has an eidetic memory, and is one of the bigger train fans on planet Earth. He also knows how to play the piano, loves comics, and is uncomfortable with physical contact. Even then, he’s able to have some loyal friends and a girlfriend as they see his sweeter and less mean side.

Fall, Triangle of Sadness, and Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, your reign as Hulu’s streaming Top 3 is about to end, as a Denzel Washington sequel is coming, and it will fight you to get even higher. Per Flix Patrol, the exciting 2018 action thriller sequel, The Equalizer 2, is rising the charts, making it all the way to number four. 

Anyone who has ever watched the actor knows that Washington is known for his action, and the Equalizer series is no different. The second installment’s plot is a pretty straightforward revenge flick, as his character, Robert McCall goes on a rampage after one of his friends is murdered, looking to bring those responsible to justice.

Friends ran for 10 seasons and became such a phenomenon that each actor earned $1 million an episode, and NBC thought it was cheap since it got them all the attention in the world. Every one of its six actors became famous and got new opportunities they never thought possible. Funnily enough, the show is still famous in the streaming world, and people who were not born when the series started are still enjoying the adventures of Ross, Rachel, Joey, Phoebe, Chandler, and Monica.

Today is all about Joey Tribbiani. He might not have been the smartest character, but he was good-natured, loyal, caring, and protective of his friends. He also loved food and women, and they loved him back. Joey had chemistry with every other character, he shared a roof with Chandler, and Rachel, lived across the hall from Monica and had a unique bond with both Ross and, especially, Phoebe (initially she asked him to give her away in marriage, then shenanigans ensued and he ended up marrying them).

In 2024, it will have been 20 years since Friends ended its run, and yet the show is still one of the most watched on Netflix. Every day new generations are getting to know the adventures of Ross, Rachel, Joey, Phoebe, Monica, and Chandler. Their place in the culture is big enough that they had a reunion show in 2021, and it was as successful as ever. 

One of the more loved characters on the show was sarcastic, funny, and very bad around women. Yes, that’s right: the one and only Chandler Bing. He was a loyal friend, with a job nobody understood, who had a bromance with his roommate Joey for many years (they even adopted the duck and the chicken together). That’s until he fell in love with his neighbor, the little sister to one of his best friends, Monica Geller. Their story is one for the ages, and arguably a better romance than the “will they, won’t they” relationship between Ross and Rachel.

The Last of Us was already one of the most successful video game franchises of the last decade before HBO decided to adapt it into a TV series. Now, it’s looking like the adaptation, created by Craig Mazin (Chernobyl) and Neil Druckman (The Last of Us video game writer), might end up being an even bigger success story than the game.

According to Warner Bros. Discovery, its latest episode, When We Are in Need, was its most viewed ever, boasting an audience of 8.1 million. The premiere episode was seen by 4.7 million people, making this Sunday episode viewership a 74% increase since then.

Dead by Daylight is becoming a Hollywood story, as the online multiplayer survival horror game is getting a feature film adaptation. As first reported by Variety, Blumhouse (Get Out and The Purge franchise producers) and Atomic Monster, James Wan’s (The Conjuring and Insidious director) company, have teamed up and will be producing the movie based on the game.

There’s no director or writer attached to the project yet, but it’ll hopefully be someone who loves the horror genre as the game is as scary as they come. For the unaware, Dead by Daylight is a one-versus-four game where one player takes the role of Killer, and the other four play as Survivors. The Killer must impale them on sacrificial hooks to appease the Entity, and the Survivors must team up and work together to fix five generators so they can power the two exit gates and leave before getting killed.

Tom Cruise still has it. Not only when he’s on a jet or doing some mindblowing stunt in a Mission Impossible film, but also in Edge of Tomorrow. Per Flix Patrol, the groundhog day-inspired movie with aliens is number one in the Hulu streaming charts.

It might be because of Cruise’s charisma; the effectiveness of the “repeat the same day forever until you learn something” format, or perhaps a combination of the two. What’s for sure is that the film is being massively watched worldwide, as it’s in the streaming Top 3 in countries as different as Bangladesh, Spain, and Mexico.

Never underestimate the power of an Eddie Murphy comedy, even the old ones. Per Flix Patrol, Trading Places is at number 8 on the Hulu streaming Top 10 and climbing. Bloodshot, Click, and Jeepers Creepers: Reborn should start worrying as their reign as the Top 3 might be ending soon. 

There are many reasons why Trading Places might be trending. It’s a satire against de rich, it has great performances by Murphy, Dan Aykroyd, and Jamie Lee Curtis, and it’s incredibly funny. Whatever the reason, it’s working worldwide as the film is in the Top 3 in countries as different as Argentina, Estonia, and Tanzania.

The likes of Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, Black Adam, and The Black Phone look destined to be toppled at the top of the streaming charts. There’s a new contender on the horizon; per Flix Patrol, Ocean’s Eleven is already at number 5 on HBO’s most-watched list and climbing. 

A slick, fun, heist film full of movie stars appears as though it’s just what the doctor ordered. The whole world seems to have caught Ocean’s fever! Steven Soderbergh’s picture is Top-3 in streaming in countries as different as the Philippines, United Arab Emirates, and Estonia.

Fans of open-world first-person shooters and fighting supernatural creatures like vampires are in for a treat, as Arkane Studios’ latest game, Redfall, just received a brand new trailer showing what a blood-sucking good time the world will be.

The video, titled The World of Redfall, shows off how the town of Redfall has transformed from a boring, pleasant place into everybody’s worst nightmare as vampires have invaded and isolated the place from the outside world, making it an all-you-can-eat human buffet for them. 

Who would’ve thought that Mickey Rourke could be leading a movie at the top of the streaming charts in 2023? Per Flix Patrol, his film The Commando is number one on the Hulu charts today, over recent hits like Everything Everywhere All at Once, Spider-Man: No Way Home, or Elvis.

The Commando tells the story of a DEA Agent, James Baker (Michael Jai White), who must defend his family from a home invasion. The guy trying to enter is Johnny (Mickey Rourke), a freed convict who stashed millions of dollars inside the agent’s home before he went to prison.

Ted Lasso ended its second season with AFC Richmond being promoted back to the Premier League, in what was a happy ending for everyone except assistant coach Nate (Nick Mohammed), who valued his ego more than the team’s future. Since then, fans have been waiting for news about the show’s third season.

Until today, the only information was a shot of Ted (Jason Sudeikis) and his friend-turned-enemy Nate, but that’s about to change. Now, not only is there a teaser trailer for the next season of the show, but there’s also an official release date.

Since the announcement of Deadpool 3, fans have been waiting for just about any news they can possibly get their hands on regarding this highly anticipated film. So far, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman “explained” how Wolverine could be alive, but not much else about the movie was made public, until today.

According to Deadline, the first big casting announcement has just broke, as one of the breakout stars of The Crown, Emma Corrin, has just joined the Deadpool 3 cast, though all we know is that they will be playing a villain. The actress became known for her role as Lady Diana Spencer in The Season 4 of the show, earning her a Best Actress Golden Globe, a Critics Choice award, and an Emmy Nomination.

Move to the side Black Adam, Elvis and Lyle, Lyle Crocodile, there’s a new magician in town who is coming for the top spot of the streaming charts. Per Flix Patrol, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone is already number eight and climbing without using magic.

The release of the Hogwarts Legacy video game might be one of the main reasons for this Harry Potter fever, as many people playing the game have decided to watch the movie where everything began.
